Hi Ladies and Gents,
Does the REALTOR organization have a search engine for commercial properties other than the MLS? I am trying to find out if there was such system out there. Thanks, Mert. Last edited by Falcon Living; 07-11-2005 at 02:17 PM. |

Have you checked out Loopnet or Costar?

I know the Atlanta Commercial Board has partnered with Dorey's FirstCLS, for an extra fee of course. We use loopnet, and as far as I know, none of these systems provide multiple listing exchange or uploadable databases.

Take on Loopnet, Cityfeet, etc.? That would be like a new day job. If you're serious, let me know if I can help.

Hey Morgan, if you could pull that off and create a REW Commercial MLS independent from MLS with the buyer agency intact, it would be a hell of a selling point for the up and coming REW franchise in all cities.

It's not like its hard to build - the hard part is getting people to start using it. It costs a TON to get it filled up enough with listings to make it useful to consumers. Once consumers start using it (And finding it useful) then the commercial peeps will gladly input their listings.

You may actually find it a little easier to gain acceptance among the commercial agents. To do say, a search for a retail strip center, we have to check CityFeet, FirstCLS, Loopnet, and send an email out on the commercial board's listserv. There is no one system, like a local MLS, at least not in Atlanta. So if we're already going to four sites, it's not much more difficult to go to a fifth - that is if there's a good chance of it turning up something useful.
