I've decided to add 3-4 links to a few interior pages to try to pick up some of the same (higher PR, fewer links per page..). Is this likely to create any issues with Google? I would not be linking to any site on more than one page.

you are saying that you will place 3-4 internal links (links to pages within your site) on a page? If that is what you are asking, I think it is a great idea. These days it seems that link architecture is my biggest headache.

If anyone has any good reading on link architecture I am sure it would be of great use to people here.

What I plan to do is have space for three to four out-bound links on several of my internal pages to related non-competing sites. Because it wouldn't be in the natural text and there wouldn't be a related description (just the anchor text) I didn't know if it might trip a trigger.

are these links reciprocal? One way is one thing, but you dont want to many reciprocal links if they arent themed

While the relation is obvious to both the real estate agent and the insurance agent where does the SE make the connection?

thats something Im interested in myself, I think cross referencing instances could produce things like REal estate sites have a high instance of "MLS" thus any site with MLS must be related to real estate. Thats the way I envision it, but that portion of the algo is not something that is easy to figure out.

I havent read this in a while http://www.seo-guy.com/google-articl...ch-engine.html but perhaps I should again, might be able to glean some knowlege from it, mind you the technology has advanced very much since then.

Has anybody thought about DIRECTORY relevance for website theming? I know keyword theming is important but I've wondered if people have thought about what influence positions within a directory might make? (ie: if both sites are in apartments but involve completely different widgets that are relevant to apartments, will G consider them similarly themed?)
