Default New Website Posted- Need Suggestions

Aloha everyone-

This is my first attempt at creating a real estate website designed to bring in traffic to my client.

I have designed the site with a lot of content, tools and resources in hopes that it will assist the public and potential clients in serving their real estate needs.

I need assistance with making the site a leader in the Utah Real Estate market. I have spent 3 months on this site and am very excited.

http://www.utah-real-estate.org

I am currently working on backlinking and wondering if I need to get only local real estate related backlinks such as lawyers, mortgage brokers, and real estate investment firms or just go for national/regional real estate links.

Please tear into the site and don't hold back. I can handle it. The focus for me is to build a site that rocks. I want to learn this to assist other real estate clients that I have across the United States.

I am a beginner and consistently learn from reading posts on this site.

Thank you for your support and I appreciate you time.

Talking Utah Real Estate website

Well, if you promise not to cry, I guess I could throw a couple of thoughts at you:
1. Why isn't there a bricks and mortar address? Even if it's Melanie's home, many/most people are going to want to see it.
2. What is Melanie's Unique Selling Proposition? Sure, she's offering people a slew of useful -- and all relevant -- information, but why should anyone list with her or use her as their buyer agent instead of choosing someone else?
The first point is a detail, although the gurus do emphasize the importance of fully identifying yourself.
The second point is more fundamental. I mean we can all write out a listing, put up a lawn sign, and place ads here and there; and we can all show homes and write up and present offers on them; but those of us who really succeed in this business of ours have something that sets us apart from the competition. So then, what is it that Melanie does or can do better than or differently from everyone else? Her website needs to convey this.

Default No Crying Here

That is solid advice. No tears are streaming.

I will make the proper updates after some pondering.
