Kathleen,
How did this turn out for you?

Wheatworks,
I do get some clicks from it. Over 90 days, 51 clicks. I figure each click costs me about $.24 each. But, these are keywords that would cost about $4.00 each on Google or Yahoo/Overture. Haven't determined the conversion rate. It's not going to make a big difference, but it doesn't hurt. Kathleen

How many impressions did you get over those 90 days?

VPRP,
Not sure about that. The stats counter doesn't do a good job of letting you look at history. The stats now are: 234 impressions and 57 clicks. So, that means I only got 6 clicks in the last month. The way this thing works, the number of impressions you get varies based on how many people have bought the term. They do put a limit on it, but for popular terms, you won't be seen as much. Maybe I'll try changing it back to a less competitive term and see if the impressions go up. As I said, it's not much, and the longer it's around, the more people buy in, and the fewer impressions/clicks I'll get. It's a good experiment. I'll make a decision at the next renewal as to whether to keep it up or not. Kathleen

I was interested to see your reply about the levels of visitors you are getting, I have just checked your website quickly just to see how it scores using my search engines software. From here I can see the following results: Google PageRank for www.buildrealestateresults.com/blog is: 5 / 10 then it shows me the following number of pages that have been indexed from your website. Google 30 MSN 0 Yahoo 0 Altavista 412 Ask Jeeves 0 Total Listings 442 All in all the erratic way visitors are getting to your website shows me it may be a problem with content loading from within your website. |

linknz,
I'm a bit confused. The traffic we were discussing was traffic generated by a PPC program, not overall traffic to the site. And, I've never worried about whether the engines index just the main blog page, or each individual post's permanent link address. The main site is doing pretty well, actually. For my main keyword, BuildRealEstateResults.com is on the first page of Yahoo and Google. Google returns 176 Million sites for the search term, so I'm pretty happy with the site. Kathleen
