After reading all of the guidelines for submitting to DMOZ and understanding that they are "very exclusive" and not to be upset if my site is not accepted, I submitted my site to this directory.
Business > Investing > Real Estate > Chats and Forums Which seems to fit quite well and there is only one other site listed in it. I then visited the site that they have listed which is called "chatrealestate"(I am being careful here not to create a link because I'm certain that they will be considered a "bad nieghbor" by some of the SE's. This forum is not really a forum at all from what I can tell. There is no way to post! I searched all over the site trying to find a way to post and it does not appear to exist. All that I can think of is that they are taking threads from other forums and listing them on the site. I also followed some of their links to other forum sites for things like Immigration, cooking, etc and they are all the same way... many current postings yet no way to post. If the DMOZ is so exclusive, how do things like this get by them? Last edited by Rentors4Rentors : 04-13-2006 at 11:48 AM. |

Or they simply could have changed the site after gaining entry into the ODP

or the editor of that category could own the site

Does anyone have any friends in the DMOZ editor election committee?
