Default Book Suggestion

Hello all!

I am new in the Real Estate business, I am currently attending the Real Estate Sales 45 hour course. I was wondering if anyone here have been lucky to find that "excellent book" that helped you manage and deal with new clients, strategies, tips, etc. etc.? I've been involved with small businesses for over 10 year. I know the importance of being your own boss and finding, keeping and satifying a customer with professionalissm and so on... the whole package plays a major role in becoming successful . But, when it comes down to Real Estate Sales is a little different. Hope there is a book that puts everything in "plain language." Any suggestions?

Isa

Hi Isa, and welcome to the forums. I don't know of any book that can really prepare you for brokering real estate. But, when I first started in real estate, I worked for a very savvy and knowledgeable broker who was one of the top brokers in San Diego. I think finding someone like that that you can work with/for for the first 6 months to a year (or more even) will be the best help you can get. You will be able to learn what you should be doing and worrying about vs. what not to. No book is really going to be able to teach you that well.

Good luck.

Isa- I would have to suggest going with a largest real estate company in your area to get started, usally they have the best training and you get the most support... The best way to manage your clients is using Top producer or Act or Online Agent... I guess I'm confused with your question on plain language... Are you talking real estate terms... if thats the case some real estate sites will have a glossary.. i would have to disagree with "the whole package plays a major role in becoming successful " the whole package will come together in time. I think what makes you become successful is your determination and setting your priorities...
