Best Western Dorchester - Conference Rates
The Best Western Dorchester has provided the following rates (and have committed 30 rooms each night) for REW attendees:

This is where I stayed last year - I think I was the only one from the conference who was there - I liked the hotel and will likely stay again - my room had a nice view of the harbor.

Nutty question but since I've never been to Canada, do they take U.S. dollars most places or do I have to convert?

Jessie - I wrote a blog post last year after the conference - might help
Visiting Nanaimo Yes, they do take US dollars everywhere I went - I just hit up an ATM at the Vancouver airport and got all the Canadian money I needed there but it would have been fine to just use US dollars.

@jessiesc - You can always use your Credit Card. Typically get the best rate that way.

A lot of places will take your $ but not give you an exchange (so dollar for dollar) - which currently is not a very good deal for you - you can always convert at a bank or the airport.
