Default Does anyone use the mail client Thunderbrid?

I started using the Flock browser, which is basically a Firefox one. I found out that they have a POP3 mail addon, Thundrebird, like Outlook Express only it's open project making it FREE. Does anyone here use it?

I use it. I used to hate it.. It's grown on me considerably. I now like it much more than Outlook.

I've been using it for a year or so now and wouldn't consider using anything else at this point. It's an outstanding program, easy to keep your mail, accounts, etc. orgainized and does a great job at keeping your inbox spam free.... progressively. (smiley here)

I tried it for mail but after the mail database grew too large, it choked. I returned to "The Bat" by RitLabs for email. However, Thunderbird is still my preferred newsgroup reader and I use it daily for that.

Just archive the old posts. This will compress the db and keep TB running smooth and trouble free and free up disk space as well.

I use Thunderbird with IMAP and keep my online mail folder under 2 gigs... I keep 2 months of inbox and 1 year of the out box on the server and pull the older emails to my local folder.

I haven't had any trouble with it choking. My local mail folder is 6.5 gigs.

I finally figured out how to set-up my yahoo, gmail, and hotmail accts today. And all I can say is wow! On top of this it has a bunch of add-ons, I guess Outlook is OUT.

Thunderbird for the win!

Been using it for at least a very long time.

A couple of really handy addons that I use are Quicktext and Sendlater.

I'm also using IMAP via google apps.

What does Quicktext do?

I love the way you can organize RSS feeds on it.
