Default I need brutal honesty

My lec 2 has been up some time now. You probably already know the design.

what I am looking for is clues as to why I am not doing better on google. I took a major hit when I switched to the lec and cannot figure what I did wrong.

Any clues to my issues?

Thank you for thoughts, I do value them greatly.

Question - you did have REW do a direct content transfer for you right? (As in from your template to your LEC?) If that is the case, there is absolutely no reason you should have lost rankings - LEC frameworks are as SEO friendly (if not more) than templates - also I have done a ton of these conversions myself and not lost appreciable rankings in fact most cases have improved almost immediately.

So question becomes - how much did you change on the dev location before you went live?

I did a quick check on your homepage and honestly it's not a pro job but your homepage SEO seems quite sound (I do wish you would get rid of those pipes in your title though, they seem so tacky these days) - they aren't hurting your SEO, but changing it to be something more readable might improve your CRT.

When you say you lost serious ground - can you give some examples?

The site looks fine to me as well, although I would add listings to each page.

I agree with W...

What serious ground did you lose? You're on page 2 of G for my datacenter.

You're coming in at #22 in mine. I did noticed during the search that you're going after a tough keyword. What was your ranking prior?

I want to thank all of you for taking the time to seriously look and ask questions. Our strategy was focused in two directions Austin related terms and then areas that were not so popular but collectively would add up. For example “round rock real estate” “cedar park real estate” leander and lago vista we would at least show up on the first page or at the top of two with hopes of being on page one. We did very well not just for the mentioned but for quite a few neighborhoods and areas. We now in many cases are not even in the top ten pages if at all.

The other very strange thing that happened when we went live with the lec 2 is that our listings detail pages no longer show up either. We were always, always in the top 3 for that mls number. The only ones that show up now are our own listings and generally when I show omitted results, and then we are still not even on page one for that.

Yes Morgan REW did a direct content change. I did not chnage much of the content at all, I did create a few more pages. There seems to be a direct correlation with going live to the lec. I like the functionality and I know we should have not lost so many great positions. That is why I posted a second review, because it makes no sense to me why google would react so differently to this site. What breaks my heart is that I like it so much.

Remember my last template for this particular url was an REW template

I asked google for reconsideration even though I feel that I do nothing risky at all ever.

I am flat puzzled

I hope this helps you give more insight

Ann

we lost about 10 places we would vacilate between 12 and then 18 on a bad day. We were never on page one for that term, but have been working towrds it. We hope to figure out what the issue is soon and get our ground back

Could all of the content in the search box somehow affect my site? I know that may not make sense, but I am questioning everything

I'm not sure how long you've had the lec, but I did some research...

Question:

You used to have a website that had quite a bit of spammy links at the bottom. Here is how it looked before

Is this the site you are comparing your lec to?

no that is a very old and those links were only like that for a very short time. No I am comparing to a previous rew site. That site however did extremly well and was actually our best site over all site ever for a large number of search terms. That site was a work horse

Curtis - don't drive yourself to crazy looking at the site, as it might not even be an issue. You must also consider that SEO is an algorithm and linking game.

Other potential explanations are there was an upcoming change that would have changed your rankings either way. Or perhaps you have been adversely effected by some of your linking practices (maybe you don't have any linking and you are just naturally loosing ground) - what about those that link to you, maybe they lost links, so you loose some of the juice they gave etc -

Not trying to sound like I am overdefending my product but I have done several of these (REW to REW) and there has not been appreciable problems and of course we have many LEC 2's ranking well, so we know it's not the sites source code etc
