What's Better? #10 or #11
On Google -- Just supposing you could choose to be number 10 on page one or number one on page 2 (actually #11), which do you think would be better?

11. Studies have shown that people are more likely to look at the top left of a search page, more than the bottom of a page.

Kyle,
Interesting study. So if only 20% of the people using search engines go on to the second page the results would be similiar. If more than 20% of people goto the second page it looks like the #11 position would be better. I am #11 and 12 for a number of my keywords - I will try to watch the results as I move up to see if they go up or down. Thanks

I think i've had better results at 10 then 11, but hey, I have no exact data to prove it...
I'd take a guess that if they pass number 10 to go to the next page, then you'd be better at spot 10...

So it seems that the sponsored link at the top of the page was looked at more than the 3rd organic listing. I wonder what would have happened if there were three sponsored links at the top of the page instead of just one. Does anyone know what the "X"s represent in the study?
