Google is now displaying three sponsored listings above the SERPS.
It will be interesting to see how this affects the traffic for the organic listings. It's getting crowded at the top. Now the searchers will have to get past the three sponsored listings and then the local listings before seeing the organic results. I am not sure if this is permanent, the FAQ for AdWords still says that only the top two listings will appear above the SERPs. "On Google search results pages, the highest ranking AdWords ads appear in the top two positions, just above the search results." I don't know about you... but I don't like it one bit. ![]() |

That sucks.

How many of you do actually click on the sponsored links?
I for one have a condition called "advanced banner blindness" [which also makes it incredibly hard to see sponsored links... ]Of course, we are not what one would call regular users, but still, I know that many of my clients just naturally skip past the sponsored links and scroll down to the "real" links...

I wonder how long it will be before half the page is filled with sponsored searches?
