I'm thinking about buying a new (or slightly used) car. My 1996 Lexus ES 300 has seen better days. Everything leaks and who knows how much food has fell in the cracks. It's got 225,000 miles on it. Great car and it's held up over the years.
I'm considering a newer Lexus or Acura. Probably just the 4 door sedan, but I might consider one of the their SUVs. Any thoughts on what car works well for you? or if you are thinking about buying, what are you considering? Greg

Greg, I just bought a 2006 Mercedes ML350 SUV last week and the car is great. It has only 40K miles on it and much cheaper than new.
I'm 6'2", so I must have an SUV, otherwise I'm extremely uncomfortable driving. It has a built-in navigation system, which can be synced over the Internet. I can plan my showing itinerary on Google and then send it over to my nav. It's a really cool feature.

Maybe the Lexus LS 460? Great car. The new ES 350 is a great looking ride as well.

I have an Acura MDX 2002 SUV- it looks so much newer because they used that same body style until fairly recently. I love it! I know at least 5 other agents who have the same car and love it. I had a late-model Acura Legend previously and loved it too. I won't switch back - they make a great product. The gas mileage isn't the best out there, but it's not too bad. I average anywhere from 17 to 21 mpg depending on conditions. You might consider the slighly smaller RDX - if I'd have known about that model at the time I purchased, I'd have probably gone for it instead.

I also have an Acura MDX--OK mileage, absolutely no service problems, great for showing clients, and I can highly recommend it.
But I like my 1985 Jaguar XJ6 for style, and I drive that exclusively when I don't need a larger car for clients. This Jaguar gets noticed, unlike the many late model look-alike cars that most agents drive!

For where I am and the kind of property I show, I need an SUV. Some of the ranch land and even some lots require more than just a car.
