Default Huge drop in Indexed pages in Google since move to LEC

I have seen a huge drop in the number of indexed pages of my site since I went from my custom to my LEC 4. To my understanding, the REW IDX is supposed to index a page for each listing and we have over 9000 in our market and I index less than 10% of that with the LEC4. It was way higher with my custom.

Has anyone else seen this with their LEC or REW site

I think your case will be unique since you went custom to LEC. I'd love to help further but I don't have anything to compare your results with to be apples to apples.

PS. Check your blog; looks funky.

Thanks Steve. I know I had over 6000 pages indexed and now I am down to a little over 800.

Blog does look a little funky.

One thing I notice right off the bat is that you're not using the:

#snippet-top#
#snippet-bottom#

This is something I recently learned about and glad I caught it early. Basically they limit the content you'll see when you click on the snippet pages to look at the price ranges or go further down in page numbers.

You'll want to make sure you use them. I'd imagine there is some sort of duplicate content issue that you'll want to avoid, so on the landing page of the community you'll show the content like normal.

Then on any snippet pages that are filtered by price range or by page number, you don't show the content; just the snippet.

My indexed pages *using Google site:xxx.xxx.com cmd* is also dismal Justin: I'm just over 300 now (and was at 10,000 with my old REW custom site).

For some reason the MLS listings just aren't indexing (even after I installed the REW XML sitemap).

Webmaster tools reports slightly better numbers (indexed URL's) but nowhere near what it used to (should?) be.

I got the XML Site map as well. My lec is pretty much loaded with all REW has to offer for a site and there has to be something that changed in the switch over.

Perhaps the wrong one to comment here as I don't have an REW site but am curious as to how one could expect to keep 6K pages indexed with a PR2 site.

This is actually something I am currently investigating - Justin I am actually quite sure I know what your issue is - it has to do with the fact that to many of your "sub pages" are published within the source of every page - I am working on a solution for you specifically (also some other items we need to do anyways)

I will post an update as soon as this crazy week is over. (Justin we will be talking privately)
