Importance of IP address?
How important is it to keep the same ip address for a site?
With my current hosting provider i get 40 different ips about 1/2 all have the same c component, but since they have been down for most of the past 2 days  - I am thinking about changing. Is there any real downside to changing to a new hosting service that will also provide distinct ip addresses from my sites?Thanks for sharing, Dave

To my knowledge, with all else being equal, there is no downside to changing IP addresses.

Everything that I have read on other forums would support that. I have moved IP's on my current site and noticed little difference.
