That is neat, but I was thinking more along the lines of these sites.
http://homes.point2.com/Results.aspx...711&MapID=2000 These requires you to have Google Maps and downloads the .kml file http://www.floridaluxuryteam.com/Mod...onfigID=229144 http://www.coloradofuture.com/Google...eEarthMap.aspx I'm wondering if Morgan and company has anything in the works for their clients. I think this would be a great avenue to create new clients. As you can see from the first link, point2homes has already started. |

Wow.. I know Google Earth is an excellent program. Used to be called Keyhole but good ol' Google seemed to have bought it and put it online for free. I was really surprised with the ammount of detail and 3Dism, when exploring the globe. (Also gives an enormous ammount of options to click through -- streets, borders, parks, coffee shops..)
For those of you who haven't checked out this program, it can be downloaded here: http://earth.google.com/ Way cool! |

Another point from a realtors perspective. My mother lives in a retirement village and across the gully is a now derilect golf driving range. In Google Earth it's very definately still in business implying that the shots could be 18 months old or more.
If you're using it to spotlight a house you'd need to be sure that all local facilities are shown. If that new highway hadn't been started when the shots were taken and the client wasn't aware of it until after signing (this has happened) and they relies on the aerial shots to check out the area there could be legal grief. I was checking out the Montgomery, AL and Las Vegas Airport. Just figured the landing strip would be viewable. According to the Lon. & Lat. it seems to be a good bit off.
