Default Automated Set-up of Email Updates for Clients Who Register

Wondering if anyone can chime in on if/how they do an automated set-up of email property updates for clients who have registered on their website.

Do you just set them up for auto notifications with the first property criteria they searched for? How often? Daily, weekly? Client defined?

Seems like this auto set-up of email property notifications would be the drip campaign, because its what they actually searched for.

Every lead should be set up with the automated listings updates. That's why they come to your site; to look at listings. Drips should be kept to a minimum and should be very relevant to your area and them moving to your area. We pick a default price range for each city in case the lead does not give us enough information to send them a list. Remember this, it's more about the contact than the content for the first list you send. Many times a wrong list will create an interaction with the lead.

I have an awesome auto-email reply. I'm a company and not a selling agent so I just welcome them and let them know that someone will be in touch with them within 30 min or they can feel free to call me if no one has contacted them.

I don't think you should send them any properties until you visit with them and get more details.

Not here to debate wheather or not automating is right or wrong, just how to do it. I'm dealing with lots of leads here, I know automation is the key to scaling our success.

We did initially discuss only automating it for those who dont provide phone numbers.
But I also think that "Are we sending you the right properties?" might be a great conversation opener actually.

Right now debating daily or weekly updates......

Although I know what you're saying, and not sending anything until you've talked to them makes sure you're only dealing with the highest value leads, I can't say I necessarily agree.

We send EVERYONE what they ask for immediately, and follow up as soon as possible to make sure the homes we sent meet their needs. A lot of those prospects don't call us back initially, but months down the road - they do. And the reason they call us is because no one else did.

And we see about 1000% better close rate on our own leads, compared to Realtors we refer leads out to. I can only assume that's because most Realtors follow up once with leads, and don't send properties if those prospects don't call them back.
