I just noticed today, when I type my url into Google, it's not longer showing and I'm getting the "Sorry, no information is available..." message. After my site was down a few days in August, it was re-cached and everything was good. Now, it's disappeared. What exactly does this mean?
The only change I made was...previously I had a redirect of www to the non-www version and I decided to switch it so that the non-www now redirects to www. Could this be the issue? Neither the www or the non-www version is showing in Google, though. Or, could my webhost have sabotaged me? Since I had problems with them, we've been on less than friendly terms. Thanks. |

Which site are you typing into google? if I type www.livingnorthwest.com/ to google, I get one result. and benkakimoto.com I get zero, that seems correct not to have the benkakimoto.com domain in google since it is re-drected to your actual domain?
How are you doing your re-direct from benkakimoto.com to www.livingnorthwest.com ? Hope this helps... Last edited by Aaron; 10-03-2005 at 01:12 PM. |

I've made changes since I originally wrote the post. At that time I was hosting my main site (benkakimoto.com) and that one had disappeared from Google. Though I got the "Sorry, no information is available...", Google still showed links and site pages.
Since that time, I changed hosts and am now hosting livingnorthwest.com as my principal website. I'm also transferred benkakimoto.com and am doing a 301 with this code in the .htaccess file ("redirect 301 / http://www.livingnorthwest.com/"). Note, Google's current caching/indexing (whatever he correct term is) of livingnothwest.com is the old point2agent site that I had associated with the domain. The reason I decided to switch domains is that I don't have an easily spelled or memorable name. So, I guess I'll just wait till Google caches the new domain. |
