My friend will be moving to the east coast and asked me if using a realtor to find a rental property is a good idea.
we live in california now and I don't think this is the norm..... ANyhow, does anyone know if this is a good idea? What are the pros and cons? is there questions he should ask the realtor? thanks |

Kyle is right, it is kind of tough to find a Realtor that works with rentals. As he mentioned, if your friend calls around some of the agents might have rental properties of their own available so it is definitely worth a try.
But oftentimes you can find more rentals just by looking in the Sunday paper. I guess an exception would be if they are looking for high end leases, in that case they would probably have better luck working with an agent.

I would recommend looking for a rental property in the local paper. But since you are all the way in CA try www.rent.com it seems to be pretty good.
Where in New England are you looking to live? maybe I can help you out. Marc www.greenfieldent.com |
