Sorry for being redundant (I posted this in another forum) but could any one help me understand the implications of Meta Tags and PR? I think I have too many keywords selected on my website and while my PR is 5 on my HP and 3 and 4 on subsequent pages, I can't seem to bring my site up on any of the search engines without putting in my name. I cover a large area (over 1600 square miles) and it encompasses about 10 counties. Any suggestions? I am a referral agent and go where my client's refer me (within reason) so I'm not sure how to change this without making my area look much smaller than it actually is.
Any help would be appreciated. Irene |

Irene,
I only took a quick look and it appears that all of your pages share the same "Title, Description and Keywords". You will want these to be unique to "each" page.

I agree with Jeff about the tags and your dynamic pages are also hurting your GPR.

I suppose this is something I need to discuss with the Webmaster? I only have one field on the website to enter keywords. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be putting in there - and I still don't!
Also Grant, what do you mean about my dynamic pages? Are those the extra pages I have that are not linked from my HP? I'm an IDIOT! ARGGGGHHHH! |

The dynamic pages are the ones that have question marks in the page address such as: http://www.irenemoralesward.com/page.php?num=1649 This page would rank much better with a page address like http://www.irenemoralesward.com/sellers-checklist.php This is something that your webmaster would have to do for you.
I still have a few pages on my site that are dynamic and they STILL do not have any GPR. I have had them up for 10 months now and am waiting another 2 months just to test the theory. In terms of your meta tags, you need a different title, description and KWs for every page. Target 2 or 3 KWs on each page and optimize that page with those KWs. There are a couple of excellent posts in here that talk about how to do this type of thing, but I cannot remember where they are. There is an interesting post in this forum too: http://agentsource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25 |

If the reasoning is that a qualified (single/short) dynamic URL won't rank as well as a static URL then I wouldn't agree.

Most of the subpages on this page http://www.hummerhomes.com/communities.php have been live for 10 months and none have received a GPR. A couple of these are newer (the ones without much content).
