Ok guys, I woke up the other day and decided I wanted a new look for my friend Ed Kirkland now that his rankings kick ass! So my designer Chris and I put our heads together and came up with http://www.edkirkland.com/ not completed 100% yet but ready for the first bit of blasting.
What do you like, what dont you like dont hold back we only want to make this sucker better. thanks Guys ![]()

Hey I like it.!
Clean lines, easy navigation. My only suggestion is optimizing your photos better. What are they being taken from Digital? scanned? I use Photoshop and make all the pictures on the site "optimized for the web". They load fast (which is a must on dial up which unfortunately I am) and I think they look pretty good too. Your pics seemed to load fast but the larger photos are breaking up. Most people accept that on sites but to me Real Estate sells by the pictures. Hey once the guy sells a place based on his website photos alone. Then you got something ! ![]()

One idea would be to put the cam (which is an excellent idea) on the home page.
For some reason people love to link to cam sites - great way to get one way links. |

Morgan,
Upload his old website somewhere, so it will be easy for comparison. I like the logo and header. Very Nice But the site looks little too busy. (IMHO) |

What looks bust about it AH? The nav? The content? The pics? As I said its a work in progress and we really want to do well for Mr Kirkland, he is only my second RE site (Jim Messenger being the other) that I have built and I want this to convert well as well as make him happy.
Main page is cached in all engines now and at least that worry is over with, I completely changed the design, and guess what :-) The ranks improved even more hehe #1 in Yahoo #2 in MSN #3 in Google for Destin Real Estate :-)

LOL.. Sorry Boss..
I revisited the site, I love the color scheme, but it seems to me too much to handle, lots of information to absorb. The right side looks like a coupon ad (nav Link) Oh, I know the ranking, you are one of the best out there, no dispute there.. Just my opinion about the site having too much. Let's hear from other members. Quote:

A good commercial website is one that converts traffic into cash.
Maybe we worry too much about how it looks. With your skill at SEO, Ed should be delighted |

I think you're right about the CAM page. I get quite a few responces with people asking me where the cam is located. I think I'll move it to the first page like you suggested. And yes I am very pleased with SEO-GUY!

What happened to Ed's picture?...
It won't convert to cash and it might not have any big ROI, but it add's the simple part to the equation.... The Human touch / Personallity / LIFE
