I was wondering if anyone has or knows of a location to get keywords for real estate. I mean I know and try to come up under normal keywords... such as Galveston real estate, Galveston homes for sale, galveston texas beach homes... but I bet many people search under odd terms for a realtor... any suggestions/comments/ideas.
thanks...

Hi Jason:
Try Overture keywords http://inventory.overture.com/d/sear...ry/suggestion/ or wordtracker.com
Good luck.

And here's one that shows both on a single page; my favorite:

Something that I have found that works really well with keywords, is to look for simple ways that your markets keywords can be mis-spelled and go after those keywords. I do this in Overture, but I guess you could try to get ranked in the search engines for the mis-spellings.

For example I live in St. George Utah and have key words in overture for "stgeorge, UT".

Not many hits but you are almost guaranteed a click over to your site, due to no competition.

One of the things about misspellings though Don is that they make your site look much less professional, so you have to be creative in how you place them. That is why I like blogs, you can target misspellings without it looking like the site itself is unprofessional, people expect forum posts and blogs to have spelling mistakes as they are push button publication of thoughts etc, not really an attempt at advertising (We know different but whatever heh)

Great point webmaster.

A blog is great for additional content that you might not want to display as the first page on your website.
