Default MLS Statistics

For the life of me I can't seem to find general zip code statistics. I've seen numerous Realtors that have average home price/lot size/square footage for a given zip code, citing that it's from the MLS or Realtor.com but I just can't seem to find it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!
Tony

What I do to find an average sales price for a year is that I search all properties in a town from 01/01/04-12/31/04 (for example) & then do the figures myself. I only show average price & market time, nothing else. I'm assuming all MLS's have a time frame search function.

I can pull off stats for a zip code from our MLS. I can tell you how to do it, but if your MLS isn't set up the same way, the info wont do you any good .. but here's how:

1. Go to your main search page click residential and sold, then click more/more options.
2. Click "sold date" and enter a start and finish date.
3. Click "Zip" and enter the zip code.
4. Click "Search" this should bring you all the solds in that zip code within the dates you entered.
5. Click "One Line CMA" this will perform a CMA on all the results and at the end you should get the average price, average DOM etc

Great! Thanks a lot for your help. It was actually "search criteria and statistics" on my screen.

Thanks again
