I've been trying to get onto my site but it's down. I keep getting an error page saying that it could not be found. I've checked a couple of other REW sites & they're fine. What's up?
OK, checked again & wouldn't you know it, as soon as I type this it's back up.

Hey Judy:
I hear what you are saying... my dns isn't fully transfered yet and I have trouble getting into my new rew site too. I have 2 computers on dsl (desktop and laptop) sharing thru a wireless router. The desktop accesses the new site now and then, the laptop accesses the old site - with the same url at the same time. Of course- my new website content and Dreamweaver is on the lap-top!Go figure!! john ps. your site is looking great. |

Hey John,
I like your site, too. I had tried a brick background but it looked too cold & stark. Think I finally found what I want. I'm learning so much using my new REW template. I knew about ftp, but I never really utilized it. I've been doing more & more with it lately. I didn't have any problems with my transfer. It took quickly. Last night's downtime must have been just a temporary glitch. It always freaks me out because I'm always worried the Googlebot will be coming around when my site's not up. Seems like I've lost a couple page caches since the transfer. Should be temporary and most are still cached.

Judy:
I don't understand why you didn't have a dns issue. I would think it would be across the board. I have had problems since I switched last Thursday. I went in and rechanged everything yesterday because on domainpeople.com it noted that my current host was point2 even though it read seo-guy. After calling domain people, I found out that the note is just a boiler plate - the actual host was in fact seo-guy. So I guess I have another couple of days of this. I found out about a site megaproxy.com that allows you to see "current internet" without any dns issues and I am able to access my REW site there, i just cannot access the backend - which is what i need to access. john |

John, your site still not showing properly for you? It shows fine here.
http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup...bia.com&type=A Here are my suggestions: Reboot your computers, and your router. Open a command prompt window(start -> Run -> Type cmd ) and type ipconfig /flushdns I think it is a dns cache issue. Aaron |

Hey Aaron:
I did the flush dns a million times and rebooted the computer as well as clearing out the temp files. I did not restart the router - I will try that. Thanks. john |

Hopefully this clears up soon, it must be quite frustrating.
