Default Dynamic Site Map Script

Does anyone have a PHP script for generating a dynamic site map they would be willing to share?

There is no database loaded content. The PHP page content is nothing more than HTML page "includes."

I was thinking of a script that... "parses all your pages, looking for, say, the <TITLE> tag and then adding whatever is coded in there to a dynamic map. That way you’d never have to manually configure anything – just add the page."

Ah so like a spider, what about xenu link sleuth, or trellian, dont they do that? I'm not sure myself would have to look into it

I'm not familiar with the companies you mentioned.

I figured I can't be the only person who ever thought of the idea of a dynamic site map so there was probably a script already out there.

The wonderful, free, Xenu is available from http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html

it's reports give you a site map of sorts which can then be reformatted.

The problem with just scanning directories, which would be easy, is knowing which are public pages and which are includes.

On one of my sites I keep all menu options in a series of arrays and build the menu from them. Then on my map I just work through each array and voila! a map.
