Is there a way to customize the GLVAR IDX searchlink so that only specified zip coded areas of mls information are made available with the search? Or, is there a way to limit what areas or searchable?

Do you have the idx datafeed? Or are you just working with the iframe link available via the glvar? If you have the datafeed then I believe the answer is yes you can, you should be able to customize your links or search parameters any way you like as long as the field you are wanting to pull is an actual table row in your database

No we aren't allowed the data feed only the search link, with the preexisting IDX search format for iframe that interrealty supplies to glvar.I'm told that the data feeds only go out to brokers, not agents and the site I'm working on is for an agent. So, we get no data feed.

There is an easy fix for that bGallagher - all you have to do is have the agents broker fill out the third party vendor for development forms and presto you have a datafeed. Technically it is the agents site, but that site is representing the broker as well.
Most brokers have no problem signing the IDX agreement for their agents.

well, there in lies the problem, the agents brokerage has declined him the data feed stating that the MLS board is no longer granting access feeds to agents via brokers .. or so they are telling me.... Thus my initial question regarding the IDX Searchlink.
![]() And yes ....'most brokerages dont have a problem with signing the IDX agreement, however, Liberty Realty in LasVegas seems to have a problem with it. |
