Default Template Questions

Looking forward to starting on the new template sites

Any I have been kicking around the test site and have a few questions...

Listings:
1) is there a capacity to add categories? One of my listings (thanks for the referral Marc!) is a co-op.

2) when I go to add listings - I don't see a way to add a 2005 listing to the system?

3) what is the sequence for displaying listings? - Price, newest on top...

Formating:
1) When I add a photo in the text section, is their away to create spacing between the photo and the surrounding test?

2) I did not figure out how to center text yet - where do I look?

3) How do I change the font size and color of text? Do we do this on the CSS side?

Link Building:
1) do you have an automated way to create the state pages for link building?

2) I am thinking about creating another series of pages for links. If we do this for one of the sites can you replicate it on the other new sites?

More later - thanks

Default Re: Template Questions

1) is there a capacity to add categories? One of my listings (thanks for the referral Marc!) is a co-op. (We can always do this for, you - not sure if you can do it yourself - Aaron?)

2) when I go to add listings - I don't see a way to add a 2005 listing to the system? Not sure what you mean here.

3) what is the sequence for displaying listings? - Price, newest on top... Can be whatever you want.

1) When I add a photo in the text section, is their away to create spacing between the photo and the surrounding test?<br> or are you asking about something else?

2) I did not figure out how to center text yet - where do I look?
<div align=center>Code you want centered here</div>

3) How do I change the font size and color of text? Do we do this on the CSS side? You can use manual html tags (inline CSS or html) or you can have us change the CSS file, note on this one though, the templates are set up so that the headers and paragraphs etc match the scheme of the template, so changing it is not advised. (Realtors have a tendency to put things in huge red text, they think it will get your attention) Debbie Ferrari lol

1) do you have an automated way to create the state pages for link building? Absolutely, just let aaron know what sites you want them built on, he will push the button.

2) I am thinking about creating another series of pages for links. If we do this for one of the sites can you replicate it on the other new sites? I dont see why not,

Default Re: Template Questions

Morgan,

Thanks - I have learned alot about your templates and started with my css education.

1) add categories - well we have the co-op sold (thanks even more Marc)

2) on the 2005? when I goto the add listing page - the dates avaliable for as the listing date don't include 2005? We still have a number of listings that we took during 2005.

3) greate to know the system has the flexability that it has.

formating
1) photos - I was inquiring about the spacing when the text wraps around photos without being against the photo.

2) thanks - got that figured out

3) I will get with Kim - I think I want to bump up the default text size.

Link building
1) Aaron is great to work with - I told him the naming scheme that I used on my site that I am replacing and he made it happen!!! (great team you have found)

2) thanks

Default Business Plan Thoughts

I have a REW template, and I know you all's business is in high gear. I am in the process of upgrading my website as I always will want to, as the technology changes. I am willing to pay for work, beyond the norm, but REW needs to have the staff that can meet the needs of the current business, in a timely manner

As a businessman, be straight, forward, honest, not that you are not, but dont take on more projects until the time is right. great companies plan years in advance, and be ready to install new technologies as they come along, which is often in a new industry.

Take care of your current customer base, in order to get even better referals, and the business will THRIVE! This is the formula for success, unlike the greedy entreprenuers of the last high tech bust. Learn the lessons from the old school. Take your time and use your skills thoughtfully!

Cheers,

Stevenl
