Default Coffee Cup

Has anyone ever used Coffee Cup to build a web site, and if so what did you think of it? I'd be interested to know how other folks on here buld their sites and what programs they use.

Dreamweaver MX and Photoshio CS - two of the better programs available for website design.

I agree Dreamweaver rules. A bit of a high learning curve but there is great training software available too. I also use photoshop but I have 7, does all I need. .
Keep in mind if software is too high dollar for you. Just sign up for one class at your local community college and you can get the best software at huge discounts! I got Dreamweaver Bundle for about $150 plus got a good beginers class to learn how to use it. Of course there is lots of illegal software out there. But I feel better being above board. The downside they say you can't upgrade an educational version. Meaning the next new release. But I'm not sure haven't tried it. Guess I'll just have to sign up for another class when I'm ready to upgrade.

Paintshop pro is pretty good too. I use that and Ulead cool 3d for some of the logos and such. Very easy to learn and use right out of the box.

IMO, CoffeeCup is an excellent web editor offering WYSIWYG and direct editing of html. It's been around for a while ('96 I believe) and is very actively supported. The nice thing about CoffeeCup is the dual modes (WYSIWYG and HTML).

The web site is at: CoffeeCup HTML Editor

An evaluation version is available for downloading. Try the trial version and compare it to others.

And there are some great web editors available ... HomeSite by MacroMedia is another one I would try. I've used it since Nick Bradbury first released it as a freeware html editor. He improved it until it was purchased by Allaire and then acquired by MacroMedia when MM acquired Allaire.
