Unhappy Site colors and format problem

Hello Guys,

My website has had an all grey background and mixed up format in IE6. Just to make sure that it was not my IE settings, I have tried viewing the site on 3 different computers. It looks fine on Mozilla Firefox.

Aaron is in the process of placing some RSS feeds on my blog and changing the skin, which I like much better. Maybe, that has something to do with this problem. i hope to get it fixed soon, because of the rumors of the G ratings update.

Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.

Steven

I dont think it is your computers or the RSS updates, it looks like you placed some extra "" tags in your description and keywords tags, which in effect would break the header. Did you try to copy paste someone else html into the CMS keyword and description fields?

I will try to resolve this for you right now.

You put quotations around every keyword in your meta keywords field. This would certainly cause the html in the header to break. I will remove and see if that fixes.

http://www.ehuntsvillehomes.com/ is fixed, what happened was it was in fact improper html inserted into your header fields.

So if you change something and then the site doesn't work just change it back...

I'm learning this as I work with my Wordpress blogs (modifying the themes plus other stuff). It is a constant "change something," check the page. If it goofs it up, I have to go back & fix what I changed. Takes forever since I'm not good at css & all that but the good thing is that I'm learning, even if it's only a little bit.

There is also a "backup data" button in the CMS, so if you are ever going to make what you would consider a "major" change, or are not sure what inserting something will do, you can always back it up, and we can reset things easily.

It is always a good idea to back up your data if you have entered a substantial amount of content. Just makes sense.

Thumbs down Re: Site colors and format problem

Morgan,

I did not copy and paste the "phrases". i just read somewhere where key phrases had to be in quotes. Thats what I get for reading too deeply into some of this bogus SEO advise. It looked perfect in Firefox...????

Thanks Morgan

Is that backup button for the entire site or do we have to Back-up each page?
