I have been reading a little bit about having too many links on your Homepage over on SEO GUYS other Forum at seo-guy.com. Some of the people over there are saying that if you have more than 100 links on your page that Google will not crawl all of the links. Some of those same people are saying that this is only for off-site links, and that you can have as many internal links as you want and they will be crawled. Does anyone over here have anything to say about this. I have more than 100 links on my homepage for Boise Idaho Real Estate. 90 % of them are internal but I am wondering if I will be needing to make some changes. All input is appreciated!

A 100 links on a page does not exactly leave much PR to be distributed when divided by the number of links, internal and outgoing.

G has confirmed that it is a waste of time having so many.

If they are all internal then OK.

If outgoing, you are providing traffic and anchor, but not being generous with PR.

The "limit" refers to 101K as the page size. Apart from the fact that surveys show that HP should be as small as poss. anything above this is lost to the BOT. Our boss says that G should be the Home Page of your site, and all site pages should be SEO'd for one search term.

BTW How many links can I have on your Home Page..............pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaase LOL
