Where to put your blog?
So guys, for seo purposes, is it better to have your blog on your homepage with 3 articles that rotate every time you post a new article? or do you have it at the end of your url .com/blog
Also, how much would a blog cost me?

It has been my experience that generating better SERPs using a blog requires a stand-alone blog (URL) and an integration of the blog posts (via RSS) into the main site home page.
Click below to see a home page (with RSS integration) and the companion blog. how much would a blog cost me? very little if you DIY, - server space - wordpress (free) - update with fresh content each day - someone to integrate the RSS feed software into your home page.

I have a blog built into my Cook County site (see link in signature-blog link is on side nav menu under Resources). I've also created a blog as a site for my Oak Lawn site (below). IMO, my Cook County blog simply adds even more content for my website as a whole. My Oak Lawn blog/site is an experiment to see how well a standalone blog will do in SE's. Too new to tell yet. The blog template is from Wordpress (with many changes made by me) & is hosted on an inexpensive host (Bluehost) that allows for easy blog install. BTW, my Oak Lawn site is still very much under construction.

My Cook County blog is another free Wordpress blog that REW incorporated into my site.
