O.K., I was going to blast an e-mail I got from www . pickyourrealtor . com and then went to their site and ended up buying 600 bucks worth of pixels.

I thought their initial e-mail was to some site promising ranking and traffic.

Anyway, it will be interesting to watch.

Ironic that I posted the buy a pixel fundraiser message that is similar to this site yesterday. Duh, why didn't I think of this????

I guess there will be some Page Rank benefit for a while, it is PR 3 on the useless browser thingy and I have 6 links from it. Maybe it will go to a PR 7 like the million dollar page!

These sites are obvious backlink sales and nothing more, I would assume that Google will slap a PR passon ban to any site doing this, so there is no benefit from a backlink perspective. Besides they dont provide a real link to your site, its run through a redirect script.

Looking at the domain name, I'm sure that site (under that domain) won't be around too long.

Hmmm, my post didn't appear. I'll start again. We have a forum member doing something similar but for the world (virtualworldrealestate.com). However, the site Cal mentions looks more like The Million Dollar Home Page. That's the one I would have liked to purchase pixels on. Reading his blog was fun because he was just as surprised as everyone else that he was able to make over a million dollars in less than a year. That was the original site that started this concept.
