Blogger.com is certainly the way to go for idiots like me.

Rehoboth Beach Mobile Homes was SO much easier to set up. If you have an FTP site and a user name and password you should be able to make this work.

Ok, So now that I have a blog site what is the best info to post here? Also what do I need to do to promote it? Should it be included in my site map?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Yes, that's the most difficult aspect of WP, initializing the database, then mod'ing the wp-config.php file with the d/b name, p/w, and user.

I've done so many installations for me and my customers that it now takes me approx. 10 minutes.

However, getting the theme to my liking takes a bit more effort.

I don't know a thing about php and my sql. So I used a one-click install on a host that Wordpress.org suggested (they suggest a few). It was easy enough for me to do "all by myself!"

And I've really learned a lot since I change the themes around to how I want them. Sometimes I can't remember how I did something so I keep a lot of notes and bookmarks.

I've got a $3.95 a month godaddy account. It handles my 10,000 + monthly visitors without any problems. It even includes php and mysql. I use a few php scripts for sending mail but I'd really like to get into mysql and build a database for my 50+ listings. Sometime in the future I'd like to have options like "add this house to my favorites list" and once they have three or more homes in that list I'd like to have a "Compare Homes" button that would basically list the homes in a table together and compare items such as # of rooms, square footage etc.....

Any php programmers out there want to tackle this? How much would you charge for such a project? Tying it into our local MLS would also be a nice feature. At the moment I just tie into my brokers MLS system but after this summer sales season I should have the $$ to be able to support my own.
