How much do you want for your source code :-) I actually already looked at it and don't have the talent to break it down and copy it for my own site. But maybe in the future. I love the home picture pop ups with prices.
Very nice. How long did it take you? I'm still working with simple one house per map pages.

I've been seeing it mentioned for a few days (weeks?)
My response, simply beautiful! But, why not a step further, take each property, feature it in a blog article and post each to google base and craigslist, maybe even do an ebay listing or two (simply for exposure) with links in the listing to the main site and the map. My customers and I have been doing mucho brainstorming concerning how to weather the coming situation of tight mortgage money, increased property inventory, rising rates, etc. etc. We all must get more creative.

Nice work...
I have been doing a Google Maps API mash of my own so that folks can quickly grab the local subdivisions and go to a more detailed page from there about the specific builders and go to our agents... We have been working on a way to get a little more loyalty from builders for working with our agents and putting a "new home showcase" on a dominant site like ours will hopefully do the trick. I am still adding data points... I will put it up for your comments Monday afternoon. Kudos to REW on a well done mash... Cheers Eric BTW--Doc--I agree that things are going to get increasingly competitive and that we have to innovate to stay ahead. That's why I love this business.

Yeah, I wish we could do things like submit mls listings to craigslist with links back to our clients, however that goes against the MLS boards terms of service.
We are looking at providing an RSS feed from our CMS for our clients featured listings (Their own listings) then we can feed to blogs, create plugin apps etc - we will also be featuring our clients listings on the REW directory in the near future. Great ideas though pcdoc - Quote:

Oh very nice map!
There is a couple of things that would be cool. When you first come to the map, instead of just showing some homes in Casey Key it would be cool if there was Icons for each of the major areas. Then when clicked upon they would bring up a window with links to "narrow down" the seach. When the map is "dragged" the markers should populate as you move around. It took a few late nights, I'd say hardest part was to get it to work in IE. Thank you Last edited by Aaron : 03-22-2006 at 03:31 AM. |
