Question how long did it take for your site to become a PR5?

I no a number of people here say PR rank does not matter anymore but because it is installed on the google toolbar and people do look at it when deciding who to link to I still think it has some value. My question is how long did it take your site to achieve it's PR5 rank?

Is there a magic number of link partners to shoot for? Is there a certain amount of time you have to wait? What makes the difference between a pr4 and a pr5?

I've had no problem getting up to PR4 but no luck at all going above that.

Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

It's all about the backlinks. The fastest I've taken a site from domain registration to PR5 was 25 days: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...ead.php?t=1262

I haven't re-read that entire thread again, but if it's not already in there "Timing" with the most recent Google update has everything to do with it.

I guess, it would be a good idea to register a name 1-2 months before the expected pr update and get a link from a high pr site. I think it is also a big factor..
