PR (page rank) can be between 0-10. As for the importance of PR and your rankings...that is up for debate. IMO if 2 sites had equal scores for every other factor execpt for PR the site with the higher PR would rank higher. Nobody can say for sure if there is any effect or if the PR that Google displays in the toolbar is even a real number. Don't spend to much time worring about it.

Thanks. So when you're looking at competitors for your keyword, what are you looking for besides their link backs?

Any info that anyonefinds helpful would be greatly appreciated. If there's an area or thread on the site for newbies, please point me in that direction.

I think you know enought now where you're no longer a newbie... ; )

I would look at how long they have had their site up (via a whois search or using Archive.org)
I would also look at how large thier site is... 1 page, 5 pages, 800 pages...
I would also look at how they have thier titles, meta tags (still somewhat important for Y and M) and what type of content they have on their pages... how many keywords in percentage to the entire page.. and what not...

Try loooking at their site in this:
http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/
and see what it can tell you compared to your site.
There is plenty to learn about this. enjoy it!

You can probably find a lot of information with a lot of basics on SEO sites if you just search for SEO basics in Google or something, and you'd probably be able to find a lot more information than going question by question here, but it's always good to get people's opinions on things, but I'd agree that it's hard to know what the PR of the site means now, especially since the P refers to one of Google's creators, not page as in site :P

How could i fix this:

Quote:
Description: Description meta tag contains no errors.
This tag contains 183 characters.

Description relevancy to page content is good.
The Description relevancy to page content is 85%.
I know what relevancy is as a definition, but how does it pertain to website design? Would it be word for word?

Warning, warning! Hijacked post! Ahhhhh...
Where did you get that message from? That would help you determine what is relevancy. Without that information who knows, it could be 85% of your meta keywords are found on your page, or how often they occur, etc etc.

Sorry for hijacking this post, but I didnt think my question held enough grounds for a new thread. 100% of my keywords are found in my page, so im not sure what they mean, but i've made some adjustments to my tags so we'll see.
