Has anyone else noticed that when you get a Yahoo Directory Listing that they change your Title and Page Description? I am wondering if this is screwing up peoples search results in Yahoo. I have noticed in my market (Cedar City Utah) everyone with a Yahoo Directory Listings isnt ranking because they didnt put keywords in the title. I know this may be obvious to some people but it might help others to know you can change your listing to more accurately reflect your keywords.

they didnt put keywords in the title.
Yahoo displays the exact contents of <title> It's amazing to me how some webmasters allow the <title> tag to have consistent content across the entire site. Go figggure!

I'm not sure that's the case with the Yahoo Directory
Sorry, I responded after mis-reading the original post. I do believe you are correct.

Yes, if your listed in their directory seems they use their title for your site where ever it appears in their SERPs.

I have a little problem with the Yahoo Directory site submission display too. They put in my company's name first and then my name, rather than the area of operation. Changing it is also a pain in the butt.

I changed mine to Sam Dodd - Cedar City Utah Real Estate Which works a lot better then what they originally had. "Sam Dodd Prudential Realty" They also allow you to change your description so I changed that as well. What I was pointing out with my post is that most webmasters shoot themselfs in the foot by not changing there title and description to something SEO friendly.
