Hi. It's time for us to start blogging. However, I don't want to just frame a page or link to a blog created by blogger. I want it to be part of my site and preferably not on a subdomain. Ideally I want finecoastalliving.com/blog.

Is there any way to use something like blogger or wordpress and just grab the code and throw it on one of my pages? Or should I contract out someone to build a custom blog? BTW my site is in PHP.

WordPress can be customized without too much hassle assuming that you know what you're doing.

With WordPress, do they have any check & balances built in so the blog won't get spammed? I've had this problem in the past with a simple comment feature I built...

For managing SPAM in WP you can hold comments for moderation and select who is allowed to post comments.
