Just wondering if any of you generate leads and basically conduct your marketing solely through the use of your personal website?

The reason I ask is because as I enter this businesss online marketing is my strengh so I would imagine that most/all of my business will be generated via my website.

We compel our visitors to visit our site by offering FREE information, such as how to buy a home with zero down, free foreclosure lists, or a free over-the-net home evaluation.

We make sure there is something for every consumer that might visit our site

Have you had any luck with 'traditional SEO' or do you find PPC more reliable and stable (especially in light of all the Google crap recently!)

What techniques do you find most effective in getting people to leave their contact information? I know giving away free information that requires an email address before they can download is one way to gather email addresses, however these people may NOT want to be contacted about your real estate services.

I have marketed 'products' online before but never a 'service' as I will be with my Real Estate Business. Do you simply have people contact you via email or phone from a number they found on your site? Or do you have them fill in a form to request more information? Then, do you respond by email or phone?

With products, it was usually email and did not require the personal touch demanded by someone in our profession.

Rather, the contacts come through your website.
