Just venting here - I had a prospect call me who is on a success website solution and wanted to know if I could code a custom IDX for her because success websites don't have the ability to do it. I was like well first we have to get a raw data feed (Which we got in less than an hour) and then we need access to the website to download the IDX data and images, create a database etc, you know standard stuff for IDX

So I call success website website and they are completely unwilling to help me or the client. You arent allowed to create databases, you arent allowed to have limited ftp access, etc - So I tell the lady, well you know, you have a lot of great ideas and all of which will help your site, but on your current provider you will never be able to implement them.

She says - well over the past 7 or so years, I have had over a hundred leads generated from my site, so there is no way im changing it.

100 leads! Lol sorry over 7 years I would be anything but happy.

I'm telling you, most real estate agents just don't know any better. She's had the site for over 7 years? That's a long time. I don't think I've ever heard of Success websites. Do they allow any kind of IDX (to be i-framed)? She needs to be introduced to this forum & this thread & hear the opinions of others.

I lost my domain name donglasgow.com, because they (success websites) wouldn't release it to me (they bought it for me when I bought the site). When the name expired, someone grabbed before I could. Held it for ransom. Too say I was pissed is an understatement.

Besides that I was paying them $150/month for squat.
