I know this has been asked before, but I am hoping to get new replies.
I am considering getting Craig Forte's "Service for Life" Newsletter for prospecting. Has anyone used this or had success in the past with Newsletters? I am a new agent and currently only have a small contact database. I would farm out the newsletter initially. Thanks! |

Just wondering if you went ahead and ordered his newsletter and if so had you had any response?

I've used his newsletter. It's not all it's cracked up to be. I'm a huge propenent of positioning yourself as a Real Estate Expert with your Sphere and Past Clients and this newsletter -- though fun to read -- doesn't do a great job of that. Trivia, jokes, etc.

Used to for a year... easy to use and customize and send. However, if you just mail it and do no personal follow up, it won't do much for you. We even offered a $50 pizza coupon for the first one who emailed us the correct answer to a trivia question. We had hoped to get a bunch of email addresses. Same few people every month responded, no business directly attributed to it.
It is just another mailer if used in a farm. Agree with keenjosh..use it for SOI. |

I used it for about a year, did the trivia questions yada yada yada, but I never received any business from it. In fact, I got the same response as above, only the same few (and I mean few) if any called to win $100 Gas Card, Basball Tickets...etc.
I agree that you should market yourself as an area expert and get business that way. Don't expect just to send this out every month a get phone calls for business. It's also very time consuming and expensive to print. Not worth it to me, although it's nicely put together when completed.

I have used the system for about 3 years and have had a lot of success with it. My repete and referal business has almost doubled. You have to send out the news letter like they tell you to do it, It keeps your name in front of clients and prospects. I have gottem more comments on my newsletter than any other marketing that I use. The reason it works is because it is not real estate related and people read it and look forward to it. E-mail me with any questions.
