I have a word press blog account ( I actually have one article uploaded )
Is is a hassle to add it to my site? The cost?

Or should it be hosted by REW with a different address and then connected, or what is the best way to do an area real estate news blog?

I'm open for suggestions, ideas, thoughts, commentary, etc, etc.

Well if you have cpanel access and the blog is new and you've not done much you can install a blog via fantastico.

it's a 1 click installation and quite easy to do.

Well documented for the begginers.

REW will add it at no charge, although they usually do the signing up and then give you your name & password (must be easier for them that way). You might just need to dump the one you have. Once they add it you are free to change the template to whatever you want, add plug-ins, etc.

In fact, I decided to kind of ditch my stand-alone Oak Lawn blog and had REW add one to my Oak Lawn site. I'm not taking the stand-alone down yet, just not going to add to it much.

I could dump the one I have with no problem, I just added a few thing yesterday and could easily transfer them.

So, you think there is more added value attaching it to your website then to link back and forth and having separate SERP's, etc?

I'm not sure. I mean, how important could your blog become without some kind of link program (trying to get good one way's to it or having to do some kind of link campaign). So now you'd be doing this for another site.

I consider my built-in blogs allow me to expand my regular site with the added posts/pages. It's an easy way to keep adding content to your main site.

Judy, That makes sense. I think I am going to compromise of sort and have my wife do a Collierville Blog separate from the site and myself maintain a blog within the site and try to capture a little bit of both "pros".
