What kind of estimate would it be for coming up with a #picture-album# function that looks something like this.

I am open for suggestions. My intent is to come up with something that I can add to pages and then change the pictures as needed or desired, and have different pictures for different pages. ie, place the #picture-album# on my Collierville page and show case some Collierville pictures, then add a different #picture-album# on my downtown page and add different pictures for that page.

The slide show that Moriah did is cool, but is not versatile from my end. I think this would definitely be something that other folks would enjoy using and have their own ideas on how to use it for the clients.

Versatility and ease of use is what I am looking for to showcase various picture themes.

Hey Ed,

I think it might be simpler to insert a piece of code into your CMS for the photo gallery. You can copy and paste this code into different pages. You can modify the code (the images) on each individual photo page. You can do this by simply writing in the filename of the image you've uploaded into this piece of code. I can put notes in this code to guide you.

I estimate this to take 3-4 hours. Would you like to do this?

Actually I think I should interject here, I dont think with the way the CMS manages images that is a good idea. Way to hard to find images etc - so not user friendly.

Something that is more in order would be a feature, much like the listings manager for homes but that had "just" the image upload funcionality. You could create an "add photo gallery" page, much like you add a sub page, then it would go to the code (Prepopulated) that you were going to create moriah. That way all these images dont get in the way of the main images in the CMS.

Thoughts? Aaron, hard to code?

That sounds like a good plan...
As far as the programming for that ( uploading the images)
I could just use the functionallity of the listings manager upload image portion.

I would say a one - two hours of my time, combined with the code that Moriah was going to create for actually displaying the image.
( not sure if this changes Moriah's Quote)

Let me know on those hours and at what rate. I think it sounds reasonable, but I may have to wait until my next closing (Friday, if the closing from hell actually closes or next week at the latest) to confirm. I think a function like this would be very useful.
