It seems pretty enough but the page runs off the page on my monitor on both sides and there's no picture near the top of the page, which means it's blank. It's not bad for a start but it also needs seo.

Good luck with the work!

Do you have flash enabled? Because the banner is flash, maybe that's why you can't see it. Thanks though

Since you asked

I like the way the background image is reflected/incorporated into the flash. Nice touch.

What I don't like about the site:

Each property I clicked on opened a new window. That drives me nuts. I now have 6 of your website browser windows open. Perhaps just displaying that information on one browser window?

The text is a bit difficult to read. Perhaps it's the font.

Otherwise, not a bad site. I agree, it needs more work. More content etc.

Just my opinion of course

The font is so small it is difficult to read. Personally, I'd move on to a site I could more easily read.

I feel it's a turn off to click on a site & get a big "About Me" before anything else. I think a home page should be a welcome page that first focuses on the area you're trying to optimize the site for (& well placed keywords in the description using those keywords).

Then follow that with a little blurb about yourself (your aunt) with a link in the text pointing to the "About Me." Right now you only have your internal links at the top of the site in the top menu. I would add some internal links/anchor text in the body of the home page to get surfers to go deeper into the site. Right now you're relying completely on your top nav menu.

Also, there seems to be a lot of white space at the bottom of your home page and some other text pages. To me it makes it look like something is missing. Maybe you should add another contact info area on the bottom. I like to make sure web surfers can easily find my contact info.

Next you need to start building more content/pages. I also agree that you should not have internal pages open a new window. Also, you could incorporate some internal links in your listings such as the Calculator link. The site seems to lack "interconnectivity" which could really give it a boost & allow for easier use & navigation.

The margins on the left and right sides could be thicker. Also, on the featured listings pages, Only the first photo is able to be seen...when I click on the set along the top of a listing, I would think that the photo would change in the body. . It needs to cycle or something...

I tell you what though I love the bird flying in the mountains and the way the background merges with the banner.
