Default Feedback would be appreciated!

www.anatolyatourismcenter.com

I launched the website a couple of weeks ago, and it is a work in progress. I mainly used Frontpage (yeah, I know bad choice), but I really didn't have the time to learn html and css. During my spare time (about 30 mins a day ) I'm trying to set up a new site with Dreamweaver.

Anyways. Any feedback on the design, layout etc would be much appreciated. Anything I could have done different/better?

Cheers!

I'm only going to comment on the looks of the site. The top portion is set up weird with the white space above the top menu tabs with a plain looking title and the Contact button above. A more balanced look would have been the blue header followed by the top nav menu links starting at the top of the page. Just my opinion.

However, the biggest thing you need to change is that I need to scroll left to right to see the entire page. You should never create your page too large so left to right scrolling is required.

Something is just missing for me. Maybe too much white space which doesn't make the page look organized properly. I really don't think the right hand column should be there at all. It isn't evenly spaced (the weather graphic sits out farther to the right) and the Exchange Rates is not aligned correctly, either.

I agree with Judy, she always has such good taste when it comes to web reviews

The shifting (bottom scroll) bothers me as well and causes the top right of the screen to be blank.

I personally and not a fan of the style of menu options at the top, but that's my personal preference. The missing menu options on the right, bother me as well.

When I click on an option, I get a blank column on the right. It's not very becoming to my eyes. Seems like half the site is missing.

Hope that helps.

Thank you all for the feedback.

It's weird as everyting looks in place when I view it (Mozilla Firefox). I was playing around with it yesterday, trying to set the width so it adepts to different screen resolutions. Looks like I messed that one up. I made that site with a 800x600 resolution in mind. I'll try to fix it.

I'll drop the plain writing and the contact button at the top.

You guys have to bear with me as this is the first time I've set up a site.

EDIT. By the way, any idea on how to make an image adjust to different screen screen resolutions? I want my banner to expand and fit the entire screen the same way as my text does. I can't get this to work, so I've manually added a big chunk on the right side (maybe that's why a horizontal scroll bar shows up?)

Okay.

I've played around with the site. I removed the plain text at the top and kept only the 'contact us' button. I think (hope) that the bottom scroll is gone.

Any thing else visually that I need to take care of?

Thanks!

Looks better, seems to fit on my screen ok now (not running 800x600).

I still don't like the missing menu options though

Missing menu options...? what the...?

I know there is nothing under 'tourism' and 'accommodation'. Besides that everything should be okay. Anything I'm missing?

I'm sorry to be pestering you about this, maybe I'm kinda slow today, but I'm still not getting what you are referring to.

What do you mean by 'blank menu' options?

Thank you for taking the time! I really appreciate it!

No worries, glad to help if I can

On the right side of your menu to the right of About Turkey and Contact Us there are what appears to be 2 blank options. I keep expecting something to be there.

It's probably just me, but it strikes me as unfinished
