Question Advanced Access Users

How many members have Advanced Access sites? What prompted you to use them?

Thumbs up Re: Advanced Access Users

Hi,

You asked about Advanced Access sites and for someone to posst here. I have had one for about 3 years. I would highly recommend it. The people and service is the best. They also have a forum where I have learned a lot. Also if someone gets one and tells them I told you about it I will get a free month. They do that for everyone. No matter I would recommend it anyway. They are very resonable and have loads of templates to choose from. It is the best one I have seen. They give you marketing tips once a week and have a spot on it for exchanging links. Really I can not say enough good stuff about it. IT IS JUST PLAIN GREAT. Check it out at http://www.advancedaccess.com or my site at http://www.LindaKnoxRealtor.com

I have heard a lot of great things about Advanced Access sites. What is the URL to their forum?

We have had an AA site for about four years. They do give you quite a few tools to create and manage your site, but the pages aren't that SE friendly. Our index is number 1 on google right now for Las Vegas Real Estate, but my interior pages have very little pr and don't show up as much as they should in the serps. I do have good luck with yahoo putting up my internal pages though.

disclaimer: Don't flame me please I haven't seen every AA site that exists I haven't even looked at Linda's or Jade456's sites.

From what I've seen, many of the links pages of the highly ranked sites I've come across are not reciprocating as they have either never been indexed or are buried so deep that they were dropped. I feel sorry for the poor people that are hurting their own rankings and don't know it. Then there's frames ( I know frames have uses but they make me think a kid built a site...IMHO )and the fact that unless you want to be a full time webmaster and part time realtor you'll most likely just have a site with duplicate content, not very se friendly and ugly banners and awards everywhere...LOL (I'm sure they can be removed but I see them everywhere)

The link folks and marketing folks at AA seem very nice and knowlegable however their tech support I found to be REALLY lacking, I phoned to simply find out how to create static pages for a clients links pages and first the guy told me he didnt know, then he was rude REALLY rude when I asked if he could ask someone who might know. It took me about 3 minutes after that conversation to figure it out myself (And I had never seen the backend of an AA website up until this point) so that was kind of silly I figured tech support in the middle of the day would be a little more knowlegable and at least attempt to be helpful. Ah well I am not saying judge AA techs just on this as I have only spoken to just the one and I may have gotten a bad apple, Kristina if you see this post something you might want to keep an eye on.

The backend is pretty intuative as far as a GUI for realtors, it doesnt make it to difficult for them and strips superfluous code so they cant screw up to bad But for a veteran coder or webmaster it is way to limiting. But they arent meant for people like me, they are meant for realtors and I think they do quite well simplifying the system for the tech un-saavy

I think they could have much better stats reporting, but you can always get an outside stats tracker. Their marketing tips and forum are usually quite good and as I said before anyone that we have dealt with on that side especially Kristina from links were totally helpful and friendly.

The frames, well honestly they could be handled and arent Shrug, gunna have to deal with pretty much only your index page ranking well, kind of the price you pay I guess, and the URL's are so easily rewritten it isnt funny so why they dont do that I dont know.

Overall I would give my experience from a coders perspective of AA a C but if I was a realtor I would probably be more inclined to give them a B+/A-

Trying to be objective is so hard when they are sort of the competition but when it all comes down to it, If I were a realtor knowing what I know about AA sites, I would certainly seriously consider them
