What I need for the moment is hosting for a single page website for an initial short period of time, usually 6 months but may be less or extending longer if I need it. Probably best way to be billed will be month to month if possible.

Very rarely should I need a full year of hosting.

The page will be css/html/php no database connection, no template, no cms although I would like awstats if possible and I will need ftp.

I will get the domain name, unless you guys want to do it for me for free

Morgan, if this is possible, can you pm me with a price or let me know if you prefer I looked else where. I know you guys bill 1 year in advance, but I prefer not to do that for this project.

I have been working on pricing for my rackspace server - I posted some initial possilby monthly fees at http://www.rewhosting.com - it has urchin stats, not awstats - which IMO are better - however why not go for the gusto and get Google analytics, cost = 0 they are way better than both awstats and urchin

Urchin stats should work fine although I haven't seen what they offer. As long as they trap the referrers it should be fine.

I have analytics actually 2 accounts, I prefer the stats awstats has to monitor certain items.

I posted in another thread that I don't trust analytics for several statistics. I believe they are biased and do not count all referrers. I have been doing some testing with analytics and awstats and there is a marked difference in the reporting.


Those prices seem reasonable although I would never use the 400mb but that's fine
