6 Ways To Make The Most of REW Summit in Denver
Looking at the REW Summit guest list, we're getting pretty excited. In addition to some of our favourite top producers, there are a lot of new names on the list, and we absolutely can't wait for them to experience everything the Summit has to offer!
To help you maximize your REW Summit experience, we've put together a handy lists of tips that will help you make the most of any real estate tech conference.
6. Say "Hi" At Our Welcome Mixer
We're kicking off this REW Summit with a pre-registration cocktail mixer! Come by the lobby of the Westin between 5 pm - 7 pm on Wednesday the 21st to meet REW staff and jump start your networking. This casual mix & mingle will be open to all attendees, and we hope to see you there!
5. Schedule A One-on-One Meeting
Our previous Summit attendees have told us that meeting with REW staff is one of their favourite things about the conference. That's why we're doing something new and flying in staff members from five key divisions of Real Estate Webmasters:
- SEO: Eric Doty
- PPC: Jacob Geary
- Sales: Scott Lissa, Jeff Pady, Jeff Whitby, Nichola Miskew
- Support: Travis Lebid
- Product Dev: Vy Luu
These experts will be around all day Thursday, and they're setting aside time slots to meet with REW clients on a first come, first serve basis. Ask specific questions, learn a little about their specialty, and find out what their department can do to help your business grow!
Visit this Google Drive document to see available time slots, and email email@example.com to secure your meeting space before it books up!
4. Ignore Your Phone During The Pauses
Ok, what's the first thing you do when you're not sure what to do next? ...If you're like most people, you look at your phone. Fiddle through email, text a pal. While this is a perfectly productive way to use your awkward moments, you also risk missing important opportunities. Perhaps a top producer just gave you a smile and you were too busy to notice it, or you were too distracted to hear the power panel discuss the location of tonight's after-party. When we connect to our devices, we disconnect from the world around us.
Power down so you can tune in to the people around you! Trust us, they are worth your full attention...
3. Don't Make Dinner Plans
It's tempting to hook up with old friends and lost lovers when you travel to a different city, but pre-booking your evenings is a fast and easy way to miss out on prime networking opportunities. Instead, leave your Denver schedule open and when you meet someone you think is interesting, invite them to dinner. This is a fast way to make friends and gain invaluable business advice.
2. Attend The Karaoke Party
You may see a trend here, but one of the most valuable aspects of technology conferences like REW Summit is the learning you do outside of the classroom. When you mix and mingle with like-minded individuals, you make invaluable connections that last long after the conference is over. And at REW Summit, these like-minded individuals are some of the most successful people in the industry. Grab their phone numbers, make new Facebook friends, and get ready to expand your social network!
1. Come Hungry (And Thirsty!)
We've worked out some amazing food and beverage arrangements with the Westin for the Denver Summit, and we think we've really outdone ourselves this time. We'll be putting out premium breakfast and lunch services, and have some delicious hors d'oeuvres planned for our cocktail hour and karaoke party. ...Did we mention the drinks are on us?
See you in two weeks!
