1. Hello Jessica! What do you do at REW?Jessica in Nanaimo

I work in the wonderful world of sales, with a focus in client acquisition.

2. You're on a specialized team here at REW. Can you tell us a bit about that?

We are streamlining the way we acquire and work with our clients. My role has shifted to a Business Development Consultant which concentrates on qualifying and obtaining new accounts.

3. What does your day-to-day work look like?

My daily tasks primarily include consulting and leveraging our platform, solutions, SaaS and digital marketing to generate ROI. I communicate to clients how awesome we are and put together a project that suits their needs. I am driven to obtain consistent, symbiotic and lasting relationships between our clients and REW.

4. What are the best parts of your job?

Hands down, the best part of my job is working with the highest quality humans I have ever had the privilege to meet. I am grateful to work with the most supportive sales team and that eminence extends to all areas of REW.

I also enjoy working with professionals from all over North America and uncovering how we can exceed their goals. Every day is different and I appreciate working in a role that offers continuous development and growth within as well as outside of my skill set.

5. How did you get into this type of work?

I believe it started when I volunteered through the Business Students Association at VIU. I made some important connections and landed an internship at Island Daily Deals where I cold-called local business. I ended up doing my job too well and sold out the booths for their Approved Christmas Sale a month before anticipated. It gave me the experience I needed to apply as a Product Consultant at REW while completing my BBA.

6. What qualities do you think are important for a product consultant?

Ambition, initiative, perseverance, flexibility and confidence.

7. Is there anything you're looking forward to this year?

Summer days spent at the Nanaimo river and weekend camping trips to new places around Vancouver Island!
