Customers using Gmail through the REW backend

One of Real Estate Webmasters’ top priorities is customer success and we understand that in the real estate business, email is an important tool you use. This is why we are informing you of a change that Gmail is making that may impact you.

Effective June 2016, Gmail will be changing its DMARC policy from "none" to "reject". This means that emails sent through Gmail from anything other than Gmail’s own infrastructure may be rejected. The impact to you is that any emails, sent through an agent or admin profile using an email, may fail. The good news is that there are a few solutions for you. The best thing to do is simply no longer use your Gmail account for these purposes. You can still use Gmail as your personal email, but with your website, you'll need to look into other options.

Keep in mind that other “free” email providers like Yahoo and AOL have already changed their DMARC policy to “reject” and it is expected that other providers will eventually follow.

This seems like the perfect opportunity to get new professional emails branded to your domain.
There are many companies you can get email through, some of these are as follows.

Once you've chosen the new email provider and set it up, just remember to notify us which provider you've chosen, as there are DNS records that we will need to enable in order for your new emails accounts to sync properly with your domain name. This is a process we are more than happy to assist with, simply email: or call 1-877-753-9893 and a member of our awesome support team will get this done.

Lastly please keep in mind that this change does not affect just REW customers. This is a global change that Gmail is making and it will alter any websites/programs that you're using with your Gmail account.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this please feel free to leave a comment below or contact our support department and we will assist you in any way we can.

We are moving all of our email addresses to the new Google apps for business. There are recommended changes to our REW email that would require assistance in making the changes to get our emails set up. Who do we need to call.

I haven't used Gmail for my REW site in the past however this is great information to have so that I never consider a switch to Gmail for that purpose.
