REW Lead Manager 2.5 Enhanced Pre-release

Important Update! Custom programming hours have been added at a discount of 25% off

The custom programming hours need to be purchased in blocks of 5 and can only be purchased if you are purchasing a 2.5 upgrade.

Begin original post:

Greetings REW customers (especially those attending the summit this year) - as many of you know, we have completed our CMS 2.5 enhanced lead management system and it is scheduled to be available July 30th, 31st.

I realize however that many folks that are coming to the conference are going to want to spend time enhancing their lead follow up systems during our hands-on networking sessions and seeing as I will be teaching my class using the new 2.5 it just makes sense to allow these people to be able to follow along on the same system as opposed the the standard 2.0

So I have decided to allow an early release:

This release will be available first to those folks attending the conference. I will email you specifically so that you can confirm your order and get in the queue. Once all conference attendees have had their lead system enhanced we will begin performing upgrades on a first come first served basis to the rest of our clients.

So how much is this thing?

I can't guarantee this price as we need to do several upgrades to see if it's realistic, but for conference attendees the price for the upgrade labor will be $199 USD. There is also an additional monthly cost for maintanence and usage of $9.95 per month (paid yearly) which will be prorated to your hosting account. Thus for those taking advantage of 2.5 enhanced their monthly hosting will go from $40 per month to $49.95

Note on custom hacks in your current system: - The 2.5 enhanced, should you order it, will "replace" your current system as the default 2.5. If you have any custom applications built into your 2.0 CMS they are not transferred over to 2.5 by default and will need to be re-added. The cost for this will be just our standard hourly rate of $100 USD per hour and you will need to get a written estimate and provide approval should you wish to have those features moved.

It most certainly should not cost anywhere near the cost of development to move them, generally a couple hours max, and in many cases you may decide they are no longer necessary with the enhanced functionality of 2.5 - if you have questions let me know below as a comment.

Why do I want to upgrade?

There are a ton of reasons to want to upgrade - I have begun documenting them at my "lead management system" page for that class on the conference. For now please visit that hyperlink above or go to http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/rew-summit/lead-management-system.php for the info - I will spend time transcribing it into a blog appropriate format as soon as I have time, but more importantly for summit attendees - please confirm that you would like the upgrade here in the blog post so that we can schedule you in and get it done BEFORE the conference.

I have special blocks of hours set aside to accomplish this, so as long as you let us know right away, we should be able to get you upgraded.

Requirements for the upgrade:

  • You must have a "current" CMS 2.0 in order to upgrade to 2.5 enhanced. If you have a CMS 1 then you must first have it upgraded to CMS 2.0 before you can order 2.5.

I highly doubt anyone coming to the conference is still on the CMS 1.0 platform, but I haven't checked. If you do have CMS 1 and want to upgrade, it will just be billable hours to do so. Feel free to contact sales@realestatewebmasters.com for an estimate.

So who wants to be first?

Actually Wayne Long of http://www.columbushomeshow.com was first because I got approval from him already yesterday when we were chatting on facebook (Wayne, care to share a few words about the new system?).

But who wants to be "next" I suppose is the question. Please post your order below

thanks

I wish i could be next but i wont be at the conference, so i have to wait.

We just paid to update to the faster lead system should i wait to do this and use that money for this?

loudog

Hey Morgan - Can you put together a quote for non-summit-attending customer? I have the directory app, the file manager upgrade and an upload control to change my header graphic. These are standard upgrades (I didn't request any customization to them) but they need to be moved over. Other than that everything in my CMS is out-of-the-box. http://www.UlsterCountyLiving.com

Morgan Carey

Mike yours would be completely custom anyways so it won't make a difference (everything for you is custom in lead management / backend because you have yours custom hacked to have several sites go into 1 system) - so I would not wait.

Lou - I don't even know what a file manager upgrade or a upload control is, so they are most certainly not standard modules at REW (they aren't on our upgrades page) - but it doesn't sound like you would be looking at any more than an additional 2-3 hours - I will confirm with programming - but tentatively $199 + prorated $9.95 per month for the rest of the years hosting and $200-$300 to move your custom stuff.

loudog

Oh, OK . . . I see what you are saying. Either way, I am cool with it.

Just so you know (and if you were interested), the upgraded file manager allows me to upload more file types than the standard CMS allows and the upload control just allows me to change the graphic that is in my header.

So go ahead and confirm w/ programming and if it is close to what you are guess-timating, go ahead and send over the invoice.

Sorry I couldn't make it to the summit!

SCP

Please add me to the list for the upgrade.

mikepannell

I am lost, Then what would be the cost to me. We just gave Aaron $200 for the faster lead system what else would i need.

mikepannell

I am guessing i wouldnt need the fater leads system cuase it would all be in the upgrade

Morgan Carey

Mike, you would pay the standard $199 setup + the additional $9.95 per month hosting (on each site you upgrade) + the custom programming time it takes to re-imlement your custom hacks (the major one that I know of being the way all of your sites feed into 1 lead management system)

That would be billed at $100 USD per hour.

Lou - I will confirm and if I was close to right, send you out an invoice.

Shane - you are a conference attendee, you will go to the top of the list, and I will process that right away. Thanks

mikepannell

So it would be 199 for each website even though they go to one lead system and then 10 dollars for each site per month. This donest make any sence to me. Nevermind i dont need it

Morgan Carey

BTW - Shane, you do have something called "custom tools" in your backend - it looks like "Edit map features" and "Edit Neighborhoods" I am not sure exactly what they do - did you want those moved as well?

Morgan Carey

And Shane one more thing - is there anything else I should know about that is custom you want moved?

Adam Robinson

Upgrade me. (htp://Sarasota-foreclosures.com)
Since, I have two sites directing all the leads to one CMS is this part of the custom programming that I need to import?

Adam

SCP

Please move those tools. That should be the only custom items. Thanks

Morgan Carey

Ok I have been getting a bunch of PM's and emails regarding "custom programming" time for upgrading from CMS 1 to 2 and also for the 2.0 to 2.5 upgrade bringing over "custom" features asking if I would be willing to authorize a discount on the custom progrmaming hours required.

My answer - SURE WHY NOT! :) - we have some programming time available (maybe 400 hours or so) - so let's call it first come first served on that as well - 25% discount on custom programming hours until those 400ish hours are consumed.

Does it have to be for "just" CMS upgrades? Nah not really - hours are hours to us - you can order the custom programming hours for anything that requires "hourly programming"

I will make an ammendment to the post above (Shane, Mike and Lou this should help you guys out as well)

Cheers

Morgan Carey

Adam and Shane, was posting while you were - please see note above - you guys can have a 25% discount on your custom programming hours just to make it a bit easier on ya :)

SCP

Thanks Morgan! I appreciate the help.

The Koitz Group

Coach is generous and good!

Would you please add me to upgrade list?...Thanks and hope all's cool...

Adam Robinson

Morgan,
I had some custom programming done to my lead manager from the thread at http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/thread35558.html

Please bring create a work order to bring this programming into 2.5 as well as merging the database from my new site (dev74) with my original site (Sarasota-Foreclosures.com)

Thanks,

Adam

loudog

Great Idea Morgan!

So to wrap it up, I will take the 2.5 upgrade ($199) + 5 Hours @ 25% off ($375)

Total $574.00

Thanks for the discount on the upgrade!

Morgan Carey

You forgot the pro-rate of $9.95 on monthly hosting, but don't worry billing would catch that! Thanks for your order Lou!

loudog

You're welcome, can't wait to see it.

jimolenbush

I'm excited to see the new system. Please put me on the upgrade list!

Thanks!

Ryan Tollefsen

Sign Me up! If Wayne is doing it, it can't be that bad. :)

Calgary Agent

okay, add me too.

What I'd REALLY like is a LITE version of the backend that I can manage from my BB. Want to be ale to assign leads to Buyer's agents? Can we make that happen (for $200)??? :-)

Morgan Carey

Actually Jim, we coded one for David Abernathy for 2.0 - ping me via email and remind me to look into the cost for developing the app - if it is only a couple hours I'll put in a work order for you - if it's a ton more, I'll put some feelers out and see if there is any interest in a module - if there is, I may just pay for the dev myself and then launch it as a product - $200 seems a reasonable pricepoint (USD of course)

I'll let you know.

jay seville

I want the 2.5 version asap. Can't attend conference though due to 5 kids, tons of work and still unpacking new home.

I would LOVE a blackberry app and Super Admin lite version I could manage. Hoping to get better at hiring team members an assigning leads better based on georgraphic searches done by registrants, etc.

Point is a blackberry lite for admins of the 2.5 system would be awesome. And even more special would be a BB calendar sync with the 2.5 :) :) :)

Can I apply a couple of my leftover credit hours to the upgrade? If not when do I pay? And then we already have some customizations of the 2.5 that Michael/Brad and I have discussed to better search for groups of leads based on what homes they have been viewing in different cities and price ranges....

would love to be a beta tester for blackberry, etc.

greggrio

I'd like to sign up for the upgrade, and probably will have 2 or 3 sites integrated, not sure. I have some customs I am sure, and will attend.

FindCRE

Put me down for my viprealtyinfo.com site for now.

Thanks Morgan!

Adam Robinson

Morgan,

How long is the discount on on custom programing for? I would like to see and use 2.5 to determine what custom programming I want. (I put in a work order for some custom LM programming last week and was advised to wait and see new version before ordering.)

FYI - LM Back end works great from Safari on an I-phone for viewing and assigning leads.

Adam

Morgan Carey

Shane Pollock - you have now been upgraded - check it out and feel free to give us your feedback (a simple woot! or yee hah would be acceptable) :)

Morgan Carey

Jim Sparrow - you have been updated as well. That fake lead from 2:11 PM - how rude!!! - Be well my friend, hope to see you again soon.

Adam Robinson

I just read sale is limited to about the first 400 hours, so I will go ahead and take 30 hours with my 2.5 upgrade.

Thanks,

Adam

SCP

Boo-Yah, looks really good! Thanks for the instant turn around guys. There are a lot of noticable improvements.

I do have suggestions, is this the proper place?

Matt Barker

Hi Morgan,

The new LM 2.5 looks great! My goal is to have the leads for our 2 existing REW websites along with the leads from our 2 new sites in development flow into the control panel of one of the new sites. Craig just sent me some initial info to review. It sounds complicated but it seems like you guys have been down this path before!

With the custom work that would need to happen and two of the sites not even launched I don't believe the LM 2.5 could be implemented by the summit. Is it possible for REW to set up a demo account so I can learn with everyone else? I am excited to see everyone at the summit and test drive the new system!

mikepannell

If i updated to 2.5 do i have to do the denton site even though it doesnt have an idx or anything. It is really just a template. It doesnt do anything special i dont think.

Calgary Agent

Thanks Morgan!!

Just a reminder that I'd like to have a "lite version" of the CMS enabled for my Blackberry access :)

SCP

Posted some suggestions and questions - http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/thread36269.html

Morgan Carey

Hey Jim,

There is not lite version to activate, I was merely saying we had done something custom in the past that sounded like that - jus so folks don't get confused - there is not a BB lite function included in this upgrade, a product like that doesn't exist yet. It is on the list though - in the meantime, if someone wanted something like that, they would need to post a custom order with their requirements in the work orders forum.

Calgary Agent

Morgan - can you give me an estimate of hrs required for a "lite" version?

Morgan Carey

Sure - but I would ask that you follow protocol on your request for estimate so we don't hijack this thread and confuse folks with disucssions of a different custom product.

Thanks

adam robinson sarasota

Thanks for the quick instalation it looks good.

Is there a pdf or tutorial for the new lead manager?

Adam

Morgan Carey

A pdf or tutorial? Nope! How's about you just come to my office next week after I teach you about all the new features live at the REW Summit ;)

Morgan Carey

BTW There will be a tutorial available very soon - I just wanted to makes sure those folks coming to the summit had pre-access to the system prior to getting here.

mikepannell

Just paid my bill and sent in $1400 worth for credit to the 2.5 upgrade. I need to know the answer to my question avove. Does the Denton site have to take the 2.5 upgrade even though it doesnt have IDX or really anything. I also need a lisr of updates i have to my current system so i can see about moving those over.

Morgan Carey

Mike - how many sites feed into the main site (please provide a list of URL's)

mikepannell

Thanks

Carolyn Gjerde-Tu

Hi would like to upgrade both Discover Davis Homes and Discover Sacramento Homes sites. Thanks.

Morgan Carey

Do you have any customizations to the 2.0 backend on either of them that needs to be moved over?

Carolyn Gjerde-Tu

No I think they are both standard CMS 2.0.

John Landry

Morgan,

I am not attending the conference but, I would like to upgrade to 2.5 and take advantage of the discoount with ten hours of customization time.

Thanks

mikepannell

With my Added hours to update my system and move things over did they include the discount for hours. I had mentioned it to Aaron or on here but i never heard.
